How do I connect Kamstrup, Aidon, Ista, or other metering systems to Inbilit?

Most major metering system vendors offer some form of data export. Here is how to connect the most common ones to Inbilit:

Kamstrup (READy, Omnia)

Kamstrup offers cloud portals (Kamstrup READy, Kamstrup Omnia) where readings are available:

• Ask Kamstrup for API access credentials to their cloud portal
• Alternatively, set up scheduled CSV email reports from the Kamstrup portal
• In Inbilit, use REST API (preferred) or Email Import

Aidon

Aidon smart meters are common in Nordic countries and typically transmit through the local grid operator (e.g., Elhub in Norway):

• Contact your grid operator or Aidon for API access to your meter data
• Some grid operators offer customer portals with CSV export
• In Inbilit, use REST API or File Upload

Ista

Ista provides sub-metering and cost allocation services with their own portal:

• Ask Ista for API integration access or scheduled data exports
• Ista often provides monthly or quarterly CSV/PDF reports
• In Inbilit, use REST API, Email Import, or File Upload

General approach for any vendor

1. Contact your supplier and ask: "What data export options do you offer? Do you have a REST API, can you push data to a webhook, or can you send CSV reports by email?"
2. Get the credentials (API key, documentation URL, login details)
3. Go to Analytics → Data Import in Inbilit and select the matching method
4. The AI builder handles the rest — it reads the API docs and configures everything

If your vendor only provides PDF reports: You cannot import PDF meter readings directly through Data Import. Instead, copy the readings into a CSV file and upload that, or ask your vendor if they can also provide data in CSV or API format.
