How do I connect Schneider Electric EcoStruxure or SmartStruxure to Inbilit?

Schneider Electric's EcoStruxure Building and SmartStruxure are widely used BMS platforms. Here is how to get your meter data into Inbilit:

Option 1 — CSV Export (Simplest)

EcoStruxure can generate scheduled CSV reports of meter readings:

  1. In EcoStruxure, go to Reports → Scheduled Reports
  2. Create a report that includes your energy meters (electricity, heating, water, etc.)
  3. Set the schedule (daily or weekly) and configure email delivery
  4. In Inbilit, use Analytics → Data Import → Email Import to receive these reports automatically
  5. Alternatively, download the CSV manually and use File Upload

Option 2 — EcoStruxure API (Automated)

EcoStruxure Building Advisor and EcoStruxure Resource Advisor offer REST APIs:

  1. Contact your Schneider Electric account manager or check the EcoStruxure developer portal
  2. Request API credentials (client ID, client secret, or API key)
  3. Get the API documentation URL (Swagger/OpenAPI spec)
  4. In Inbilit, use Analytics → Data Import → Instant API Sync → enter the spec URL and credentials
  5. The AI builder will configure automatic data fetching

Option 3 — Webhook via EcoStruxure Building Edge

If you have EcoStruxure Building Edge, it can push data to external endpoints:

  1. In Inbilit, create a Webhook import and copy the webhook URL
  2. Configure Building Edge to forward meter events to the Inbilit webhook URL

What to ask Schneider Electric: "I need to export meter readings from EcoStruxure to a third-party platform. Can you set up scheduled CSV reports or provide API access to EcoStruxure Resource Advisor?"
