How do I connect Siemens Desigo CC or Navigator to Inbilit?

Siemens Desigo CC and Siemens Navigator are common BMS platforms in commercial buildings. Both can export meter data for use in Inbilit.

Option 1 — CSV Export (Recommended starting point)

Desigo CC has built-in trending and reporting that can export CSV files:

  1. In Desigo CC, set up trend logs for your energy meters
  2. Use the report generator to create a scheduled CSV export of trend data
  3. Configure automatic email delivery of the CSV report
  4. In Inbilit, use Analytics → Data Import → Email Import
  5. Or download the CSV from Desigo CC and use File Upload

Option 2 — Siemens Navigator / Building X API

Siemens Navigator (now part of Siemens Building X) offers a cloud-based API:

  1. Contact your Siemens account manager for API access to Navigator or Building X
  2. Request API documentation and credentials
  3. In Inbilit, use Analytics → Data Import → Instant API Sync
  4. Enter the API spec and credentials — the AI builder will handle the rest

Option 3 — BACnet/IP via IoT Gateway

If Desigo CC is connected to a BACnet/IP network:

  1. Use an IoT gateway (e.g., Siemens Conectus, or third-party) that bridges BACnet to HTTP
  2. Configure the gateway to POST meter readings to a URL
  3. In Inbilit, use Analytics → Data Import → Real-Time Push (Webhook) and give the gateway the generated URL and secret

What to ask your Siemens integrator: "Can you configure scheduled CSV trend exports from Desigo CC for our energy meters and email them to an address I provide?"

Tip: CSV export from Desigo CC is the fastest way to start. Most facility operators can set this up within a day.
