How do I connect Techem, Brunata, or sub-metering service providers to Inbilit?

Techem, Brunata, and similar companies provide sub-metering services — they install, read, and report on individual meters for heating, water, and electricity in multi-tenant buildings. They typically own the metering hardware and provide data through their portals.

Techem

Techem provides consumption data through their customer portal:

  1. Log in to your Techem portal (my.techem.com or your regional portal)
  2. Check if CSV export or API access is available under Data → Export or Integrations
  3. If CSV export is available, download the files and use File Upload in Inbilit
  4. Ask Techem support: "Can I get scheduled CSV exports or API access to my meter readings for integration with a third-party platform?"

Brunata

Brunata offers similar services, primarily in Nordic and German markets:

  1. Log in to your Brunata portal
  2. Look for data export or reporting options
  3. Download CSV files of meter readings and upload via File Upload
  4. Ask Brunata: "Can you provide automated CSV exports or API access to our building's sub-meter data?"

Ista

Ista provides sub-metering and cost allocation:

  1. Check your Ista customer portal for data export options
  2. Ista often delivers monthly CSV or PDF reports — CSV works directly with File Upload
  3. For PDF reports, extract the readings into a CSV file first

Key point for sub-metering providers

These companies typically provide data on a monthly or quarterly basis (not real-time). Your best import method is usually:

  • Email Import: If they send automated CSV reports — set this up once and data flows automatically
  • File Upload: If you need to download and upload CSV files manually
  • REST API: If they offer modern API access (ask their support team)

Tip: Even if the provider primarily delivers PDF reports, always ask if they also support CSV or Excel export. Most providers can do this but do not advertise it prominently.
