How do I connect a MIVO wireless logger to Inbilit?

MIVO produces wireless M-Bus loggers and gateways that collect data from utility meters and transmit readings to the MIVO cloud portal.

Connecting via MIVO Cloud API (Recommended)

  1. Log in to your MIVO portal (the web interface where you see your meter readings)
  2. Contact MIVO support or check Settings → Integrations for API access
  3. Request an API key and the API documentation for your account
  4. In Inbilit, go to Analytics → Data Import → select "Instant API Sync"
  5. Enter the API documentation URL (or upload the specification file), your MIVO base API URL, and the API key
  6. Click Start — the AI builder will detect your meters and set up automatic fetching

Connecting via Webhook (if supported)

Some MIVO setups can push data to an external URL:

  1. In Inbilit, go to Analytics → Data Import → select "Real-Time Push (Webhook)"
  2. Copy the generated webhook URL
  3. In your MIVO portal, configure a data push destination using the Inbilit webhook URL
  4. MIVO will push new readings to Inbilit as they arrive

Connecting via CSV/Email

If your MIVO portal sends periodic email reports or lets you export CSV files, use the Email Import or File Upload method in Inbilit.

What to ask MIVO support: "I want to integrate my MIVO meter data with a third-party platform. Do you offer a REST API, webhook push, or scheduled CSV export? Please provide API documentation and credentials for my account."

Tip: MIVO loggers typically transmit data every 15 minutes to 1 hour. After connecting, allow one full transmission cycle before checking if data appears in Inbilit.
