Help Center · Settings & Account

What is the difference between Settings and My Account for invited users?

The platform has two different pages for account management, depending on your role:

Settings (admin/owner only)

The full Settings page is only accessible to the account owner. It appears in the sidebar as a cog icon and contains:

  • Profile — update your name and email
  • Users — invite, remove, and manage team member permissions
  • Security — two-factor authentication and password management
  • Extensions — enable premium features like Analytics
  • Billing — subscription plan and payment management
  • Localization — language, date format, and currency preferences
  • Support — contact support or report issues

My Account (invited users only)

Invited (non-owner) users see "My Account" in their sidebar instead of "Settings". My Account is a simplified version with only:

  • Profile — update their own name
  • Security — change password and manage their own two-factor authentication

Invited users cannot see or manage other users, billing, extensions, or localization settings. These are account-level settings that only the owner controls.

Why the distinction?

This protects your account configuration. Invited users can manage their own login credentials and profile, but cannot change account-wide settings, invite other users, modify subscription plans, or alter permissions. This separation ensures that only the account owner makes administrative decisions.

If an invited user needs admin access

There is no way to promote an invited user to owner. The owner role is tied to the account creator. If you need someone else to manage settings, they would need the account owner's credentials (not recommended) or you would manage settings on their behalf.

Where to find it: Owners see "Settings" in the sidebar (bottom section, cog icon). Invited users see "My Account" in the sidebar (user circle icon).
