What are the energy chart colors and what do they mean?

Each energy carrier has a designated color in the analytics charts. These colors help you quickly identify what type of energy you're looking at:

Primary colors (Energy dashboard)

• Electricity: Cyan (#06b6d4) — your electrical consumption
• Heating: Amber/Orange (#f59e0b) — thermal heating energy (district heating, heat pumps)
• Cooling: Light Blue (#60a5fa) — cooling energy (air conditioning, chillers)
• Gas: Red (#f87171) — gas consumption
• Ventilation: Emerald Green (#34d399) — airflow measurements
• CO₂: Orange (#fb923c) — carbon dioxide concentration levels

Water dashboard

• Water: Blue (#3b82f6)

Waste dashboard

• Waste: Violet (#a78bfa)

In the Energy dashboard, these colors are used in stacked area charts and bar charts. When you see multiple colored layers, each represents a different energy type for the selected building. For example, a typical building might show:

• A cyan base layer for electricity
• An amber layer on top for heating
• A red layer for gas

Tip: If you see an unexpected color or a missing layer, check that your meters have the correct energy carrier type assigned. A heating meter accidentally typed as "electricity" would show as cyan instead of amber.

The meter selector in the dashboard lets you toggle individual meters on/off to isolate specific energy types in the chart.
