How do I manage user permissions and control module access?
You can control exactly which dashboard modules each invited user can access. This lets you restrict team members to only the sections they need.
Available modules you can grant or revoke
- Buildings
- Tenants
- Tenant Billing
- Invoices
- Invoice Reader
- Cost Allocation
- Reports
- Analytics
- Tenant Hub
To set permissions when inviting
During the invitation flow (Settings → Users → Invite User), you'll see a "Module Permissions" section with checkboxes. Select the modules the user should access. By default all modules are selected — uncheck any you want to restrict.
To change permissions for an existing user
- Go to Settings → Users tab
- Find the user in the list
- Click the key icon next to their name
- Toggle modules on or off in the permissions modal
- Click "Save Permissions"
What happens when a module is unchecked?
The module is hidden from the user's sidebar and its pages become inaccessible. The user only sees Dashboard and Settings plus their permitted modules.
Note: Permissions can only be managed for active users. If the user's status shows "Pending" (they haven't accepted the invitation yet), you'll need to wait until they accept before managing their permissions.
Only the account owner can manage permissions. Users with the "owner" role always have full access to all modules.
