How do I enable two-factor authentication (2FA) on my account?
Two-factor authentication (2FA) adds an extra layer of security to your account. When enabled, you need both your password and a 6-digit code from an authenticator app to log in.
Supported authenticator apps
- Google Authenticator
- Microsoft Authenticator
- Authy
- 1Password
How to enable 2FA
- Go to Account → Security tab
- Click "Enable 2FA"
- Scan the QR code with your authenticator app (or copy the secret key manually)
- Enter the 6-digit verification code from your app
- Click "Verify & Enable"
Once enabled, you will be prompted to enter a code from your authenticator app each time you log in. This ensures that even if someone obtains your password, they cannot access your account without your phone.
Why we recommend 2FA
Your account manages sensitive building data, energy consumption records, tenant information, and billing. 2FA protects all of this from unauthorized access. Certain actions — such as managing subscriptions and activating premium features — require 2FA to be enabled and verified.
If you lose access to your authenticator app
Contact your account administrator to help reset your 2FA. Make sure to save the secret key shown during setup in a secure location as a backup.
Where to configure: Go to Account → Security tab. You will see the Two-Factor Authentication section with an "Enable 2FA" button.
