Do all tenants see my announcements or just specific ones?

You control exactly who sees each announcement. When creating an announcement, you can target it to all tenants, specific tenants, or specific units.

How targeting works

When you create an announcement in Tenant Hub → Announcements, you set the target audience:

  • All tenants — every tenant user in the building receives the announcement
  • Specific tenants — select individual tenants from a list; only their portal users see it
  • Specific units — select building units/locals; only tenants assigned to those units see it

Delivery methods (choose one or both)

  • Email — sends the announcement directly to tenant email addresses
  • In-App — the announcement appears in the tenant portal's Announcements section

You can enable both for maximum reach. Each method is tracked separately.

What tenants see

  • In their portal, tenants only see announcements that target them (by tenant_id or unit). They never see announcements meant for other tenants.
  • New announcements show a "NEW" badge until the tenant opens them
  • Announcements can have a priority level (low, normal, high, urgent) which affects the badge color and sorting
  • Expired announcements (past expires_at) are automatically hidden

Delivery tracking for you

After sending, you can view statistics on the announcement detail page:

  • Total recipients
  • Email sent count and opened count
  • In-app sent count and viewed count
  • List of individual recipient statuses

Announcement types available: general, urgent, maintenance, event, policy, reminder — each with a distinct visual style in the portal.

Where to manage: Tenant Hub → Announcements → click "Create Announcement" to compose a new one, or click any existing announcement to view delivery stats.
