Why do I need to give consent before using Data Fix?

The Data Fix feature requires explicit consent before you can preview or apply any corrections. This is a safety and liability mechanism.

What you are consenting to

You acknowledge that the auto-fix engine will modify your meter readings and that accuracy is not guaranteed. Interpolated values are mathematical estimates, not actual measurements. You accept full responsibility for verifying corrected data before using it for billing, compliance, or reporting.

How consent works

  1. Open Analytics → Data Fix
  2. Check the consent checkbox at the top of the page
  3. The system saves your consent to the database (not just a local click)
  4. A green "Consent accepted" badge confirms it was saved
  5. You can now select a meter and use preview/apply

Key details

  • Consent is stored per account and user in the database — it persists across sessions
  • You can revoke consent at any time by unchecking the box
  • Revoking consent clears any pending preview results
  • The full disclaimer is available under "Read full disclaimer & details"

What the disclaimer covers

  • Gap filling uses interpolation (estimation, not measurement)
  • Negative delta correction replaces impossible readings
  • Range correction caps extreme values
  • Duplicate merging combines readings at the same timestamp
  • Plateau fix (opt-in) redistributes accumulated consumption
  • All changes are logged in an audit trail
  • You are solely responsible for accuracy in billing and compliance contexts

Who needs consent? Every user who wants to run Data Fix must consent individually. Account administrators cannot consent on behalf of other users.
