What do the billing dashboard summary numbers mean?
The Tenant Billing dashboard shows a financial overview with four summary cards and optional payment stats. Here is what each number means:
Total Incoming (red arrow down icon):
The total cost of utility invoices you have received from suppliers for the selected period and building. This is your cost — what you paid to energy companies, water utilities, etc. The count shows how many supplier invoices are included.
Total Sent (green arrow up icon):
The total amount you have billed to tenants for the same period. This is your revenue — what tenants owe you. The count shows how many tenant bills were generated.
Allocation Rate:
The percentage of your incoming costs that have been allocated to tenants. If you received 100,000 in supplier invoices and billed 85,000 to tenants, your allocation rate is 85%. A rate below 100% means some costs are not yet passed through to tenants (common area costs you absorb, or unbilled periods).
Tenants:
The number of active tenants in the selected building(s), plus the average bill amount per tenant.
Payment Status (appears when you have sent invoices):
- Paid: Total amount tenants have already paid (including VAT)
- Outstanding: Unpaid balance remaining across all sent invoices
- Payment Rate: Percentage of billed amounts that have been collected
Time period controls
Use the period selector to switch between Monthly (one specific month), YTD (year-to-date cumulative), or Yearly (full year). Use the building dropdown to view one building or "All Buildings" for a portfolio-level view.
